It's All About the Relationship

Welcome

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with adults, children, and families who are struggling in their lives and relationships. I provide psychotherapy, as well as academic and psychological assessment. My theoretical framework guides me to help my clients come to a better understanding of themselves and their relationships as they find fulfillment and meaning in their lives. Children in my practice often enjoy gaining understanding of themselves, their lives, and our relationship through play therapy.

My practice includes individual and family therapy with children, teens, and adults. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where individuals can express themselves freely about what's bothering them and develop new approaches to deal with life challenges. My work with younger children involves play, while my work with adolescents and adults is more focused on "talk therapy." Play therapy creates a comfortable atmosphere for children to process their emotions and conflicts. I work with adolescents and adults to find healthy ways of expressing themselves. My focus with parents is to understand, support and advocate for their child.

I help individuals build upon their strengths, change self-defeating behaviors, and develop healthy coping skills. I help families improve communication and relationships. Parents appreciate that I work collaboratively with them, their child, and other professionals (e.g., schools). I listen, connect with and nurture my clients, and tailor my approach accordingly.
